Design Declaration Takikawa Conference took place at Tarokichi-Gura Hall on July 7, 2007 at 7:30 pm. The venue was filled to the last seat, and the conference extended over three and a half hours, closing at 11 pm. The discussion ended without reaching a final conclusion. Thirty minutes before the end, it was decided not to force things and to let things take their natural course. However, the discussion itself was filled with high-level statements, and I am convinced that the conference was a success, as it is evident in the comments of the participants.
It was planned from the beginning to announce a statement at the end of the conference, but after consulting all the panelists, it was decided that each should put his/her thoughts and opinions into a text of approximately 600 words. Thank you for your understanding.
